Hence the Agricultural Innovation System for supporting environmental management implementation on coffee plantations becomes strategic. Farmer organizations, networks, and social capital management have not been developed optimally. Smallholder plantations have limited resources, weak risk management, limited access to finance and technology. The application of CSA practices is limited to a few farmers.
Environmental management in coffee smallholder plantations is related to water management, soil management, and integrated pest diseases management. The analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. The study was carried out in the Robusta coffee development area in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province.
This study aims to analyze the environmental management implementation in coffee smallholder plantations and design an Agricultural Innovation System to accelerate its implementation. However, the level of technology adoption at the farmer level is not optimal due to the capacity and resources of farmers and the technology dissemination support system. Farmers have implemented Climate-Smart Agriculture by improving the cultivation system. On the other side, the coffee plantation is dominated by smallholder plantations with limited capabilities. The study adds to the body of knowledge by giving experimental pieces of proof identifying the interrelationships between EMP and sustainability.Ĭlimate change significantly impacts coffee production and quality. Furthermore, their environmental advantages will not convert into sustainability. The ramifications are that manufacturing firms attempting to assert sustainability through EMP should have related knowledge with EMP. Additionally, the result of this study underlines the significance to manufacturing firms of carrying out environmental management practices. Thus, the study concluded that environmental management practice tools contribute significantly and positively to firms’ social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Primarily, the study established that environmental management practice tools were significantly and positively related to sustainability. The data collected were analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). A total of 363 questionnaires were distributed to the employees of the manufacturing firms, which included managers, supervisors, and line staff. The goal of the study was to determine the relationship between environmental management practice tools and sustainability. Therefore, this study investigated the effect of environmental management practice tools on the sustainability of manufacturing organizations. Attaining organizational sustainability requires the implementation of environmental management practice tools that create long-term value by embracing opportunities and managing risks derived from economic, environmental, and social developments. The manufacturing sector in South East Nigeria has many challenges concerning the incorporation of sustainability into the corporate strategies and operations of the industry, given its extractive nature and the numerous social and environmental impacts related to production activity. This research assertion could be extended for all the listed Romanian companies or for major companies at the EU level. The research results showed that EMS integration has different effects on business performance probability, considering the influence of activity field and environmental management experience. Fuzzy logic was further used for modelling the influence of EMS integration on business performance probability. Using logistic regression analysis, business performance probability (quantified by return on assets) was estimated for each company included in the final sample. To assess the EMS integration score, principal component analysis was used.

The study was conducted on SMEs listed on the AeRO-Bucharest Stock Exchange that voluntary apply the ISO 14001 EMS, using a quantitative approach. Based on the literature, in this study some EMS integration dimensions were identified that can be used to assess its influence on business performance. One way to achieve these goals is to integrate some effective management tools, such as an environmental management system (EMS), that can support sustainable development and value creation. Companies constantly thrive to enhance their performance in order to achieve their environmental, social, and economic goals.
